We sift through life, healing wounds and tackling challenges. Some of these experiences in spite of our best intentions, we repeat with alarming precision. Some however become life lessons and create shifts in consciousness. Within recent times in the middle of a cycle of repetition, I gained one such insight ‘Always take action from the awareness of who you really are.'
Consciously and unconsciously, we are constantly entering into agreements with self, with others, with life.
Whether it is choosing a relationship, developing a habit, leaving a job or beginning a business, this awareness would determine not only the foundation upon which the agreement is made but the path it takes, immediately creating positive momentum in one’s favour.
Entering into any life transaction with a limited sense of who you truly are sets the stage for ‘diminishing returns’. This economic concept sometimes referred to as ‘the law of diminishing returns’ defines a situation in which a smaller result is achieved for an increasing amount of effort.
As such, in making our life choices we can find ourselves in the position whereby the desired results remain elusive in spite of our increased efforts to grasp a hold of successful outcomes.
When you know who you really are, you assume a position of authentic power from the inception. Regardless of the nature of the undertakings we are involved with, this is the point of commencement and/or continuation. It is amazing to observe the changes in our thoughts and emotions when we connect to our true self. This ultimately affects our decisions.
This alignment means nothing outside of ourselves or anyone should be held responsible or accountable for our sense of well –being. How powerful! How liberating it is to operate from this place of wholeness!
This divine nature defines us as indestructible, it reminds us of our sufficiency, it propels us towards our expansiveness.
We have become hostages in an external world because we have forgotten who we truly are.
Denying our truth we find ourselves competing, seeking approval, judging, envying, blaming, resenting etc. etc. While these states provide temporary avoidance or an escape from dealing with the source(self) we are also being alerted that we have wandered away from our true selves.
Having gotten accustomed to wearing many substitute layers of who we are, this can be a difficult task. However it is absolutely necessary to begin practicing this awareness in order to stay in this place of inherent power.
It’s imperative that the journey starts now. Our happiness depends on this.
